About Wyler Hecht, N.D., L.Ac.

Wyler Hecht received her BA from the University of Georgia in 1984. After graduating from UGA she moved to London for one year and then to Australia for another year. It was during these years overseas that she was first introduced to alternative types of medicine. Wyler Hecht’s interest in alternative medicine continued to grow, and in 1994 she moved to Arizona to pursue a doctorate in naturopathic medicine and then a masters level degree in acupuncture from Southwest College of Naturopathic Medicine. She graduated with honors from the ND program and with highest honors from the acupuncture program.

After completing her training in AZ, Wyler Hecht moved to Durham, NC to practice in an integrative medical center, Bridges To Health. She taught several classes on integrative medicine and clinical nutrition at both Duke University School of Medicine and University of North Carolina School of Medicine.

In 2005 Wyler Hecht moved back to the Athens area and opened Oconee Natural Healthcare in Watkinsville, GA. She practices naturopathic family medicine and traditional Chinese acupuncture and often combines the two systems for a comprehensive approach to wellness.

Wyler Hecht is a member of The American Association of Naturopathic Physicians (AANP) and The National Certification Commission for Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine (NCCAOM).
